Amrut Yatra ladies group visit to Neerja International Inc

Jaipur is known for its traditional art and craft; among them Neerja International is one which is known for its handmade Blue Pottery even in today’s mechanized world.

Amrut Yatra - a Social Tourism Group comprising of 15 ladies including one Marathi freelance journalist visited Neerja Blue Pottery manufacturing unit on February 22, 2018.

The Amrut Yatra ladies were passionate to know about the handcrafted blue art which is crafted by the craftsmen.

The group was wholeheartedly curious to see what all ingredients and colors are used to make the blue pottery products, and how they are designed?

They had plenty of questions about the quality, utility & the difference of working of Neerja's artisans.

During their visit they met Ma’am Nupur Bordia who shared the entire journey & challenges faced by Leela Ma’am in restoring and reinstating this beautiful craft to its true worth.

They were completely awestruck by the beauty and variety of blue pottery products on display at the showroom and extended their visit time by a further hour to enjoy the visual treat.

As a parting gesture, the Amrut Yatra coordinator were presented with a specially created Blue Pottery Name Plate depicting their name with elephant motifs as a symbol of grandeur and appreciation for promoting handicraft.
